A glass cup made by Yuri Iwamoto.
The bird-like creature painted on the surface gives the piece a magical mood. The motif of this bird is from an illustration in a Persian scripture. The translucent brown glass surface is covered by a coating changes color by the angle of view, which gives it an attractive appearance. You can use it for drinking wine or beer, arranging flowers, or whatever you like!

Glass artist

"I try to keep the intention of the molten glass as it is, and create a form in dialogue with materials."

Graduated from Musashino Art University. While a student at the university, she studied at Aalto University in Finland as an exchange student. Currently based in Toyama, Japan, she creates a wide range of works including vases and sculptures using hot work technique.
