A ceramic vase made by Mai Tagawa.
It is characterized by the texture which reminds you some living thing's fur, and the unique color changes of the clay from *Shigaraki. The wide mouth let you to arrange a lot of flowers in it, or to simply arrange a single flower. There is a black iron powder on the surface that was attached during firing process. If you find it attractive like a beauty spot, please welcome to this vase to your home!
*Shigaraki is one of the oldest pottery producing places in Japan.

MAI TAGAWA

"I listen to the voice of soil, how they want to be."

Graduated from Tama Art University. While a student at the university, she studied ceramic art. Currently based in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. She creates tablewares and vases with the unique scarlet coloration of clay.
